More details on the fight. Apparently the keys to the cruiser were dropped when police stormed in to break up the fight (how many cops were on the scene is unclear from the story). A kid grabbed the keys and jumped into the cruiser, crashing it into two parked cars and injuring two other kids.
Only in Newark.
Oh please, it’s not “only in Newark.” That stupid stuff happens everywhere. Lame joke.
Sorry, KT. That was a lame joke.
But, this isn’t the first large student brawl I’ve heard about in Newark. Central High used to be notorious to NJIT students of large fights, and I know I’ve blogged of at least one occasion when a Newark cop was injured there.
If they’re happening elsewhere, they’re sure underreported.
