All Stars Project of New Jersey Benefit Marks 10-Year Milestone for Innovative Youth Development Program

Announcing $350,000 in funding from New Jersey’s private sector and new initiatives for immediate future

 

The All Stars Project of New Jersey will hold its 10th Anniversary Benefit and Dinner entitled Out of the Box and Into the Garden: Jersey’s Youth Leads the Way — on Monday, November 9, at The Newark Club in downtown Newark; reception at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner at 7:00pm. 

 

The event’s Underwriting Partner is PSEG, with Leadership support from D&B, PricewaterhouseCoopers, MetLife, DIRECTV, Chubb, New Vernon Capital, and Latham & Watkins.  The dinner will honor ten Founding Sponsors who helped to bring All Stars into Newark in 1999 and have given significant support throughout the last decade.  Montclair dermatologist, Dr. Jeanine B. Downie and Michael Heningburg, Jr. will also be recognized.

 

The dinner will be hosted by ABC Eyewitness News New Jersey reporter and anchor Toni Yates and will feature hip hop, “floetry” and vocal performances by youth.

 

The All Stars Project has reached more than 10,000 Newark area youth since 1999.  Steven W. Alesio, Chairman & CEO of D&B, Robert T. Ross, Director, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Banking, Bank of America, Gabrielle L. Kurlander, All Stars Project Inc. President and CEO, Gloria B. Strickland, All Stars Project of New Jersey director will highlight a set of expansion initiatives, that include plans to open a center for youth development named for the late All Stars supporter, Scott H. Flamm, in downtown Newark.
