??John Koblin?? of the ??Newark06?? blog: “The Quiet Debate”:http://newark06.blogs.nytimes.com/?p=167. Surprisingly understated:
But up on the dais, the action was far more demure. State Senator Ronald L. Rice — after weeks of accusing Mr. Booker of being a front man for a vast right-wing conspiracy — only mentioned his leading opponent’s name a handful of times. And he spoke in such hushed tones that the moderator had to ask him to raise his voice.
But, Ras Baraka expects some more controversy tonight:
Tonight, Mr. Rice and Mr. Booker will appear at the campaign’s only televised debate, carried live in New Jersey on News 12 at 8 p.m. When the cameras are turned on tonight, Mr. Baraka said viewers can expect more aggressiveness. “It’ll be different,” he said.
WBGO will “also be broadcasting”:http://www.nj.com/newslogs/mayorsrace/index.ssf?/mtlogs/njo_mayorrace/archives/2006_05.html#137370 the debate, as well.
I wonder if anyone is Web 2.0-savvy enough to podcast the debate, too.
