Habitat for Humanity seeks area volunteers

Volunteers from all walks of life are welcome. While contractors, plumbers and electricians are welcome, no construction skills are required, as all training will be provided. People are welcome to bring their own tools to a job site, but it isn’t necessary, as all necessary tools and materials are supplied by Habitat. In addition, there are also non-construction volunteer needs, such as people to help with church relations, family selection, fundraising, land acquisition and legal matters.

Children ages 14 to 17 are also welcome, although they must have a parental consent form and be accompanied by an adult. A staff construction foreperson as well as trained volunteers will work with and instruct volunteers on crews, and a staff member is also available to make presentations to organizations as part of the volunteer recruitment process. For information, call 973-624-3330.
